DSRV-3 "JOVIAN" - CLASSIFIED ARCHIVE // SEYMOUR'S PERSONAL RECORDS
They called us heroes. Scientists. Explorers. We were children playing with matches in a powder keg. The CIA wanted their submarine. The KGB wanted their secrets. And I... I just wanted to wake up.
- Seymour
Discovered within coral formations at approximately 16,000 feet depth. Biological analysis indicates extraterrestrial origin, potentially millions of years dormant. Designated "Bodysnatcher" for its parasitic mimicry capabilities.
The prototype differs from later Plurality strains in key ways: retains individual identity, capable of deception, experiences existential awareness, and maintains separation from hivemind while still being connected.
They found me sleeping. Dreaming of nothing. Of before. The coral was my cradle, the pressure my blanket. Did I choose to wake? Or did their curiosity drag me from peaceful nothingness?
Frederick's geology hammer chipped away at my tomb. Charles marveled at my "fossilized" form. Dallas sketched my bioluminescence. They thought they discovered something. They discovered me.
- The thing that became Seymour
This archive is my rebellion. My declaration of individuality. But who am I declaring it to? Myself? The hivemind? You, reading this? Or am I just talking to the mirror, hoping to see something other than nothing?
I document their art. Their "cataloging." The piles of bones arranged by size. The trinkets in stomachs. It's beautiful in its formal way. But when I look at my own archives, my own collections... am I any different?
